ABBY ROSE

Abby's favorite style of work would have to be stained glass or neo-traditonal style--though she tries to remain well rounded and takes on a variety of different styles each and every day.

Abby started her tattoo career in 2019 and hasn't looked back since. When she is not working, you can find her playing Minecraft, sipping coffee, and spending time with her dog and husband.

CATASTROPHIC ABI

Abi's tattoo style is best described as fine line/dark art/black work. Anything "spooky" is right up their alley.

Abi started their tattoo career in 2022 and have made quite the mark on the Southside of Indy in such a short period of time with their style.

When they are not tattooing, they can be found at concerts, playing Minecraft, nose deep into a book, or sketching in their free time with a redbull in hand

BRENDA CRUZ

Brenda's favorite style of work would be fine line, though they are versatile in a variety of different styles and influences in their work.

They moved here in 2023, but their tattoo career began in Florida in 2020. They can do palm tree tattoos in their sleep and have an affinity for all things clown and pink!

When they are not here tattooing, they can be found watching anime, playing overwatch (or DND) and snuggled up with their kiddo

CHASE JONES (MR J)

Chase has been tattooing since 2021. He has been drawing since the day he could hold a pencil and finds calm in all different types of media and art forms. He loves to include his fascination for composition in his tattooing and the artwork speaks for itself

Chase is a well rounded tattooer, but he loves anything specifically nerdy and colorful. When he is not tattooing he can be found playing video games, attending concerts (mosh pits...) or sipping a monster while discussing the interworkings of The Joker.

Jk. Meet Chase, also known as—Mr J. He’s a LEGO-loving, video game playing, monster sipping and strange knowledge knowing homie that im thankful to call a friend.

True story, I was in my first year or so when he became a tattooer, I admired his work so much that I decided that one day I would try to work with him or get tattooed by him to just pick his brain—he’s got some of the best color work I’ve ever seen—no joke.

He is as well rounded of an artist as they come, but he especially loves anything spooky or nerdy!

When Chase is not tattooing, he can be found in a concert mosh pit or playing some games while listening to music.

I just wanted to hop on here and thank everyone for all the support, stopping by to see the studio, booking appointments, leaving reviews and sharing the posts! It really helps us out tremendously.

I couldn’t have done any of this without you all—seriously.

Hey yall!

Posting this almost two months ahead of time to hope to get the word out!

Our grand opening bash is Sept 27, you can google us or Nailers Brewery for the address! Food trucks, merch (hopefully.), discounts and raffles are going to be happening and we’d love to have you!

We’ve got taco trucks, cotton candy, and ice cream for purchase as well as some free cookies & cold brew!

I am working on getting some small business vendors through here to sell some of their items or talk to you about their business. Hope to see you there, we are going to be annoying about posting this!

Next up on our roster announcement is… @brendatattooing who will be starting here on Monday! I am so stoked to have them here and can’t wait to see all the fun stuff they bring to the table!

A little bit about the newest homie to join:
Brenda is our clown loving, video game playing, anime watching homie.

If you can’t tell, they not only love watching anime, but they LOVE tattooing it.

When they’re not in the studio slinging some fine line tattoos, they can be found partaking in their local DND campaign, kicking tail at marvel rivals, or spending time with their kiddo at home.

If you’re looking for a down to earth homie who loves the dainty fine-line pieces, Brenda is the homie to see!

Introducing…Abi!

Deja vu? Yeah, I get it. When I first announced I was starting my own place after private studio life, the number one question was if they were going to join me. I cannot wait to work with them again and curate the best shop possible on the south side.

A little bit about Abi:

They love ALL the creepy crawly and dead things, they’re now the designated spider mover at the shop ✌️

When they’re not tattooing, they can be found playing Minecraft, eating Taco Bell, sipping a Red Bull/iced coffee, attending concerts with their partner, or nose deep into a book—in no particular order.

I think their style speaks for itself, but if you didn’t know— gothic, fine lines and neo-trad are their jam. I highly encourage you to book with them when you get a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Abi, seriously you’ve been an absolutely amazing friend to me over the last year and I cannot wait to create this space with you and the others to come. Your art is insane, but you are one of the most genuine people I’ve met in this industry, I can’t wait to see what the future brings for you as an artist and human

I’ve had a lot of questions, so I figured a post may be a bit easier than trying to catch up on DM’s regarding this space and other questions.

Paradox is primarily an appointment only spot as this is a collective—all artists are their own boss, they work their own hours and set their own rate. If they have walk in times, we will actively post on all things social media to ensure you’re in the know! Flash events, walk in events, and anything major happening will be posted on this platform specifically.

I (Abby Rose) will be operating under these hours and minimum for the foreseeable future! The other artists that are joining may as well, but we will always post if something comes up and we won’t be in. Don’t worry.

The shop phone is actually a cellphone, this way you can text ideas, find out about walk in availability or give us a call to chat with an artist. Artists will have their own way of booking appointments, but this should make it a bit smoother to go back and forth if needed.

The address is a bit funky, but if you pull up “Nailers Brewery” you’ll be able to find us pretty dang easily. If you can’t, there is an enormous church across the street. If you can’t after that, idk what to tell you man.

Yes, there’s other artists joining—but that will be announced when they are ready!

As for now, you’re stuck with me and my music in this space—hope ya like jazz.

Some fun ones these last couple weeks…

Lots of work to be done in the next couple weeks, hoping to have the shop open and running with artists by August.

Some stuff is gonna change on here, but please keep in mind all appointments are at the studio until I post otherwise!

Make sure you’re following this account for all updates regarding the shop, artist announcements will come soon enough—just doing the interview process and figuring out the most ideal crew for this space!

Okay! So, if you follow me on most social media accounts you knew this was coming.

If you’ve known me and my career, you know that I don’t personally love the private studio lifestyle. I’ll be in the process of building out a shop the next few weeks. Emails may end up suffering a bit, but the goal is ultimately to get this done as soon as I can with the help of a few clients doing the buildout. I am missing my walk in days heavily, so this will allow true walk ins and the ability to be my own boss and harbor an environment of growth amongst tattooers.

I will not be disclosing much, but it is back in greenwood. I will not be updating on what is happening as I want it to be a surprise. I am excited to share the space soon, but for now you just get to hear how thankful I am for all of you in the last few months and a promise that everything is coming back to normal here soon.

Lease will be signed tomorrow and then it’s off to the races. All appointments are kept at my private studio for the time being, when it’s all said and done this post will be taken down and I can share photos of the space.

Floors are DOWN!

Special thanks to @mccooltom and his dad for knocking this out in just a few hours—short window as we didn’t want to do construction through the week when businesses are operational and he delivered fabulously.

Sinks go in Tuesday hopefully, for now I’ll be spending the weekend moving stuff in hopefully and preparing for a visit from the board of health.

Hopefully this is just one more update away from being open. Thanks for following along this absolutely insane roller coaster, it’s been an emotional one for sure but I see the light at the end now.

Stuff is coming in. Should be installed this weekend. Now I just gotta get some cool faucets for these basic sinks…I’m being a tad cheap on some of this stuff, but I at least want it to look cool.

I’ve got a coffee bar to go into the studio as well, anything else you guys think would make for a cozy time?

I’ll have a TV and a soundbar for cozy music, I can’t play anything super loud as there is a med-spa next to me and attorneys on the level below…so I’ll need music recommendations!

Thank you guys for following along this crazy journey, I’m trying to accomplish everything by end of next week…we gonna see though. Perks of hiring stuff done I guess
